How to Use AM Routine
1️⃣ Gentle Cleanser – Massage onto damp skin, then rinse (60 sec)
2️⃣ Daily Power Defense – 1-2 pumps – This contains antioxidants to fight with UV rays, blue
lights and pollutions
3️⃣ Pigment Control Crème 2% HQ – Apply 2 pumps to the whole face evenly
4️⃣ Exfoliation Accelerator – Apply 2 pumps (start 3x/week, build to daily). For oily skin, used every other day or daily.
5️⃣ Sunscreen (not included) – Essential for UV protection. Applying sunscreen is a MUST!
PM Routine
1️⃣ Gentle Cleanser – Massage onto damp skin, then rinse (60 sec)
2️⃣ Daily Power Defense (optional at night if skin feels dry)
3️⃣ Pigment Control Crème 2% HQ – Apply 2 pumps evenly
4️⃣ Pigment Control + Blending Crème 2% HQ + Wrinkle + Texture Repair – Starting from the 2nd week, introduce Pigment Control + Blending Creme 2% and Wrinkle and Texture Repair
1 pump Pigment Control + Blending Creme 2% + 1 pump Wrinkle and Texture Repair 2 nights a week. Blend these two products evenly, then apply evenly to the whole face.
Every 2-3 weeks increase an extra night of these two products until using them nightly.
** If extra moisturizing is needed, use Growth Factor Serum, or Hydrating Crème, or Renewal Crème or Recovery Creme after the hydroquinone as the last step AM and/or PM.
NOTE: using these richer hydrators will slow down results so use only as needed on areas
which may experience irritation – flaking, redness.
Wean off hydroquinone program schedule
Month 4, Week 1-2 4 days on hydroquinone products
Month 4, Week 3-4 3 days on hydroquinone products
Month 5, Week 1-2 2 days on hydroquinone products
Month 5, Week 3-4 1 days on hydroquinone products
Month 6 completely off the program
• Hydroquinone products should not be used for more than 5 months.
Take a 2–3-month break, then resume using the Hydroquinone treatment cycle again if
needed. On your time off hydroquinone products, please use non-hydroquinone skin brightening cream to maintain and/or improve the results, such as ZO Brightalive, SkinBetter Even Tone, Alastin A-luminate.
Please do not spot treat only the pigmented areas but rather apply these products all over. You should never stop using Hydroquinone products abruptly but rather wean off them slowly to prevent rebound pigmentation over 4-8 weeks.
Please do not use any physical scrubs (beads type of scrub products) during the time you’re using hydroquinone.
⚠️ Important Usage Notes
🔹 Sun Sensitivity: These products increase sun sensitivity, so daily sunscreen use is essential to prevent further pigmentation.
🔹 Expected Reactions: Flaking, redness, and sensitivity are signs of skin renewal and will improve as the skin adapts.
🔹 Hydroquinone Usage Limit:
✔ Use hydroquinone daily for 3 months, then gradually wean off over the next 3 months.
✔ Do not stop abruptly—this may cause rebound pigmentation.
✔ Take a 2-month break before resuming hydroquinone if needed.
🔹 Do Not Spot Treat: Hydroquinone should be applied evenly over the entire face, not just on dark spots, to prevent uneven skin tone.
